Boys will be Boys

Im a little bad at this whole keeping my blog updated as time changes, fortunately it is now summer, and lucky for me that means no school, lucky for you it means I have nothing better to do than work and blog. (: 

So Boys will be Boys eh? well to be honest its quite a truthful title. If you know me, you would already know that the great Hudini himself wouldn't be able to find his way through my ridiculous spaghetti bowl of a love life which I possess. 

 Since the world began, men have been assholes. Take cavemen for example, do you think us women  enjoyed being dragged by our hair into a cave, ummm helllll no (unless their into that sort of thing). 

I am constantly filling my mind with the ideas that there is such a thing as a man that is good looking, strong, sweet, smart, and funny. Don't get me wrong, I have found some guys that possess one or two of these traits but then they seem to counteract them with something negative. 

Maybe Im picky, who knows. All I know is that I want to find my "perfect man" and I want to find him soon. Prove to me you still exist.

My Other Half

Meet Kaylee Kimberly Nell! Born November 22nd 1991! My cousin/ Best friend since birth, Literally. Our momma's are sisters who are inseparable, which can only conclude with their children being the same way. Until October 22nd 2011, I didn't have a sister, so Kaylee happened to be the closest thing. She is the absolute best listener in the world! I can tell this lady anything!
We seriously have the best adventures ever! From cruising on the freeway with the top of my car off singing to Justin Bieber, to Walmart trips to get ice-cream at three in the morning! Yes, you should be jealous, most people are!

Changes Everywhere!

So today, as I was pondering away in my bathtub, the word "change" popped into my brain. I instantly began thinking about all the changes in my life that had occurred over time. This made me realize all of the experiences I had gained over the past year. Yes, some were for the better & some were for the worst, but either way they changed me as a person, and that is what matters right?

* I gained a beautiful baby sister named Eva that I love to pieces!

* I adopted my doggy Darwin & Preston adopted his doggy Lilo!

* I officially have a job!

* I now know how to do stitches!

* I am scuba certified!

* I made up my mind & decided I am going to be a Dentist!

* I began doing research & will be nationally published for it!

* I have lost weight

* I have made new friends

* My daddy joined the Air Force

As you can probably tell, those small lists were just a sliver of what I could think of at the moment. The reason behind them though are all the same. They impacted my life in such a dramatic way. Whether it was losing a pet, or losing a pound, they changed me somehow as a person. Its crazy to think of all the things that have changed simply over such a small time period. It makes you realize how quickly time is flying by! Don't blink! Because changes are everywhere! 

Discovering Darwin

    On February 16^Th 2012, I made a HUGE decision. This decision however, would later make me the happiest girl ever! It was on that day that I adopted Darwin. 
Darwin Mendel Lucas is the name I gave to my new doggy. If you didn't already know, I am majoring in Biology, and I'm a geek. So yes, he is named after the lovely Charles Darwin, and the phenomenal Gregor Mendel (the father of genetics). No wonder he is such a smart dog right?
I have had Darwin a little over two weeks now. He knows how to sit, shake, and as of a little over a week ago, lay down. He's a freaking genius. So what if he pulls me around the floor at puppy class giving me rug burns? or enjoys shitting on trees? he is perfect to me. 
I adopted him from the Salt Lake Animal Shelter through their "Pit Crew" program. He is about a year and a half (or so they think). Nobody has a solid answer on his breed, but so far the winner is a Boxer/Pit bull. Whatever he is, I don't mind. He is mine, and that is all that matters. 

Darwin Mendel Lucas
